CJC-1295 with DAC is a synthetic analog of Growth Hormone Releasing Hormone (GHRH) modified with a Drug Affinity Complex that significantly extends its half-life compared to native GHRH. It has been studied for its effects on GH and IGF-1 secretion patterns in preclinical models.

What Is CJC-1295 DAC?

Growth Hormone Releasing Hormone is a 44 amino acid peptide produced in the hypothalamus that stimulates the pituitary gland to release growth hormone. Native GHRH has a very short half-life in circulation due to rapid enzymatic degradation. CJC-1295 was developed as a more stable analog, and the addition of the DAC modification — which allows the peptide to bind to albumin in the bloodstream — extends its active half-life from minutes to days.

Key Research Areas

GH secretion research has examined how CJC-1295 DAC affects the magnitude and duration of growth hormone pulses. Studies in animal models have observed sustained elevations in GH levels following administration, in contrast to the brief spikes associated with native GHRH.

IGF-1 research has followed naturally from GH secretion studies, as IGF-1 (Insulin-like Growth Factor 1) is produced in the liver in response to GH signaling. Researchers have examined the downstream effects of sustained GH elevation on IGF-1 levels in preclinical models.

Pharmacokinetic research has specifically examined the half-life extension provided by the DAC modification, with studies measuring albumin binding kinetics and the duration of detectable peptide activity in circulation.

Body composition research in animal models has examined the effects of sustained GH elevation on lean mass, fat mass, and metabolic markers, generating interest in the mechanisms by which GH affects tissue composition.
